This figure study captures the human form in a state of ease and openness. The use of charcoal, with its fluid lines and soft shading, allows the figure to emerge with both immediacy and delicacy. The reclining pose suggests a quiet surrender to gravity, while the gestural marks preserve the energy of the moment. Rather than focusing on precision, the work embraces the spontaneity of mark-making, conveying the natural rhythm of the body at rest and the quiet strength within stillness.
The print size is slightly smaller than the original at 14”x11” and comes in acid free matting and a protective cellophane sleeve.
